Francisco Magdaleno is a Mexican painter based in Mexico City. His practice focuses on large-scale figurative painting that explores themes of power, thought, strategy, and symbolic fire through a contemporary neo-expressionist language.

His work has been developed through sustained independent studio practice and specialized training in figurative painting. Magdaleno’s recent body of work, including the series Pensadores de Fuego (Thinkers of Fire), investigates the reinterpretation of universal archetypes through heightened chromatic tension and dramatic illumination.

He holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, an academic background that informs the analytical dimension of his artistic inquiry.
